People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is suing SeaWorld. PETA is claiming that the park’s orcas are being held “in slavery and involuntary servitude”. The animal rights group is seeking to release the whales “from bondage” as they put it.

San Diego’s Republican Party has had its twitter accounts suspended.
The chairman Tony Krvaric is accused of creating several twitter accounts posing as prominent San Diego Democrats.
San Diego’s Democratic Party chair, Jess Durfee reported the accounts to twitter.
In a press release Durfee says
“I applaud Twitter for acting quickly to shut the deceptive profiles down,” said Democratic Party Chair Jess Durfee. Childish and unethical conduct online is nothing new, but I am disappointed to see that my Republican counterpart and his party may have been behind it. The idea of Tony Krvaric posting as @JessDurfee is just creepy.”

Yesterday Occupy San Diego protesters witnessed a man fell to his death.
Initially the death was reported as a suicide but this morning the San Diego Medical Examiner says that he fell while trying to hang fliers on the outside of a downtown San Diego parking structure.
The Medical Examiner released this statement:
“The decedent, who’s identify is pending confirmation, was a Caucasian male who lived in the city of San Diego. On the afternoon of 10/10/11, he had been in a parking structure downtown attempting to hang flyers on the outside walls. For unknown reasons, he lost his balance and fell out of the structure to the ground below. 9-1-1 was called and when first responders arrived, his death was confirmed without medical interventions due to obvious traumas. An examination is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday October 11, 2011.”
After the death the Occupy San Diego protesters turned a march planned for that night into a vigil.

Yesterday close to 2000 people marched through downtown San Diego’s famous Gas Lamp district as part of Occupy San Diego. Occupy San Diego is a march, protest, teach-in, and sit-in style event that participants say is meant to show solidarity with Occupy Wall Street.
Protesters are upset at the current economy.
Many stayed overnight at Children’s Park in downtown San Diego and today they plan to move to the seat of San Diego’s government at the Civic Center.

The San Diego freeway shooter person of interest has been found. California Highway Patrol caught up with him in Lake View Terrace just north of Los Angeles.
He was driving a white car that looks like it could be the 2006 Chevrolet Malibu.

The search continues for a “Person of Interest” that California Highway Patrol believe is connected with yesterday’s freeway shooting spree.
According to the San Diego Union Tribune 24-year-old Enrique Ayon is the owner of the 2006 White Chevrolet Malibu (plate number 5POM917) involved in the shootings.
He is described as being 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 190 pound. Police consider him armed and dangerous.
Yesterday the car was involved in several freeway shootings, and one hit and run. The victims included and Ambulance, a CHP officer, and two civilians. One of the civilians was wounded but is expected to recover from his injuries.
The car is registered in the Northern Los Angeles County city of Lancaster.

The shooter believed to be a Black Male or Hispanic Male driving a 2005 or ‘06 White Chevy Malibu out of Lancaster California plate number 5POM917.
The first incident was in South Bay neighborhood of San Diego when the 2005 or 06 Chevy Malibu hit the gate at a parking lot on San Ysidro Blvd.
Then police believe that the suspect drove north and found his first victim in the National City area at South Bound 805 at Plaza Blvd. The man driving was able to drive his car off of the freeway and call police. Reportedly he had just dropped off his daughter minutes earlier and she rides in the back seat where some of the shots impacted.
Then the suspect/s is thought to have continued North bound on the 805 to Mesa College Dr where a second victim was shot.
At some point a CHP officer helping a disabled motorist on the North bound 805 at the 163 reported hearing shots fired in his direction.
Finally the last reported shooting was at an Ambulance that was on the 5 north at Del Mar Heights Road.

Someone is going up the 805 freeway shooting at drivers.
Police describe shooter Black or Hispanic Male Adults driving a Newer Chevy Malibu.
The first known incident is at the South Bound 805 and Plaza … the second at North Bound 805 and Mesa College drive … and we are hearing reports of a third on the 5 North just past Del Mar Heights road.

The Occupy Wall Street movement is making its way to San Diego. The group is beginning their third week of protests at Wall Street and this Friday they will begin a protest at the San Diego Civic Center.
The group has many demands among them are …

2: CONGRESS PASSING “Revolving Door Legislation” LEGISLATION ELIMINATING THE ABILITY OF FORMER GOVERNMENT REGULATORS GOING TO WORK FOR CORPORATIONS THAT THEY ONCE REGULATED.
3: CONGRESS PASS THE BUFFETT RULE ON FAIR TAXATION SO THE RICH AND CORPORATIONS PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE & CLOSE CORPORATE TAX LOOP HOLES AND ENACT A PROHIBITION ON HIDING FUNDS OFF SHORE
This morning KSWB FOX 5 San Diego spoke with Brian Phillips the “Communications Director” for Occupy Wall Street live on the FOX 5 Morning News via SKYPE. When asked which of the Occupy Wall Street demands was his personal favorite were Phillips said
“I actually don’t have those demands in front of me so I couldn’t tell you, I’ve been occupied with other stuff”
Then he was asked
“You mean you don’t know them of the top of your head after being out there for two weeks?”
Phillips replied
“Your right we should.”
